2018 Autumn Quarterly: Call for Horror Submissions

Horror Banner

The call for submissions has ended.

Thank you to everyone who submitted their work to support The Pilcrow Foundation!

Keep an eye out on our blog and on Twitter for updates!

Greeting Acolytes,

This is the twilight call to offer up your darkest, most disturbing, spine-tingling horror submissions to the sacrificial altar of TL;DR Press for our delectation.

We are inviting all of you to go crazy for the autumn (and inaugural) edition of TL;DR Quarterly. Submit the weirdest, scariest, genre-defying tale your twisted mind can create.

A Lovecraftian horror romance with demons? Go for it!

A gothic dystopia with vampires? Hell yeah!

A serial killer operating in the far future? We are in!

The rules are simple.

Please note, that whilst we are going for the bleeding edges of scary, we aren’t accepting pieces that contain graphic descriptions of sexual assault or rape.

Charity

The TL;DR Press curators have chosen The Pilcrow Foundation as the selected charity.

The Foundation supports rural public library communities through their Children’s Book Project.

From Director Karren Timmermans: We at The Pilcrow Foundation recognize the importance of public libraries in rural communities. Libraries are often the center of the community, where people come together to learn and share ideas. Providing quality children’s books to rural public libraries ensures the opportunity for not only active engagement in the community, but also for lifelong learning.

We know that reading to and with children every day, and providing frequent opportunities for them to read on their own are some of the most important activities for literacy development. Literacy is the greatest gift we can give to our children. And the public library is where we can start.

Our mission is to provide quality, hardback children’s books to rural public libraries across the United States. One hundred percent of donation supports our Children’s Book Project; a matching grant project for rural public libraries.

To find out more about this amazing non-profit please go to: https://thepilcrowfoundation.org/our-work/ . The Pilcrow Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. EIN: 38-3921215.

Good luck! We can’t wait to devour your – submissions.

Cheers,

TL;DR Press
