Nope 2, Line Up Announcement!

Greetings from the other side!

We challenged you to scare the wits out of us, chill our blood, and generally terrify us with tales of the macabre, the ghastly, and the ghostly. We received some absolutely incredible horror short stories and poems, you demonic little scamps! Great work. We are so pleased to present you with the line up for Too Late; Didn’t Run, Nope 2.

How we got here

We began in July with a call for submissions to writers to help us create a collection of Horror stories and poems to benefit the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights.

We knew the response would be huge, so our editorial team consisted of four curators and nine additional editors, all of whom were absolutely integral to the success of this project thus far.

From August until the end of September, we worked with the authors (and each other) to mentor, edit, and judge. As with our previous collections, we paired every interested writer with an editor, who worked with them to create the strongest piece they could moving forward. The editor scored the final piece from 1 to 10, and passed it on to a second scorer from the curators team. The sum of the two scores became the piece’s final score.

As always, we were utterly blown away by the quality of the submissions to this collection! We received 75 works by the end of the call for submissions and so many delivered wonderful and innovative ideas from across the genres.

We want to thank the #tldrwriters community for your stories and support while we curated a fantastic lineup of new voices. This collection is the work of hundreds of hours, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.

Thank you to our contributing writers for this edition and their works:
