TL;DR Press holds two contests per year. The first is the One Thousand Word Herd competition (1KWHC), held in Spring, established in 2020. The second is The 2K Terrors competition, held on or about Halloween, and established in 2023.

2K Terrorsstatus: closednext: Fall 2025

The 2K Terrors is a horror competition. Entrants receive two prompts and have one week to complete a horror story of no more than 2,000 words. Cash awards are given to the authors of the top-judged 25 stories, as well as publication in the contest’s e-book and physical book. Proceeds of the e-book sales are donated to a charity selected for that contest. Below is a list of the contest e-books and the charities that have participated in the contest each year:
