Our heartfelt collection of human experience, diverse voices, and prideful characters is here! Below, we present the amazing lineup for our newest, LGBTQIA-themed collection, Shades of Pride.

How we got here

We began in March with a call for submissions to writers to help us create a collection of LGBTQIA+-themed stories to benefit True Colors United.

Our editorial team consisted of three curators and six additional editors, all of whom were integral to the success of the project. The curators include Camden M. Collins, Andi Curis and David Clark.

We had two goals with this project: To support True Colors United and their mission, with a story collection worthy of the cause, and to engage and support the LGBTQIA writers’ community.

From March until June, we worked with the authors (and each other) to mentor, edit, and judge. We were blown away by the quality of the submissions to this collection! In all, we received 50 stories by the end of the call for submissions.

We want to thank the #tldrwriters community for your stories and support while we curated a fantastic lineup of new voices. This collection is the work of hundreds of hours, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.
